‘Glowing Stars’ Awards Ceremony 2019

On the 3rd of November 2018, the Eunos Girls Team successfully held the ‘Glowing Stars Awards Ceremony’ to celebrate the achievements of our students during the madrasah year. Madrasah As-Soabereen holds this event annually, as we believe that recognition for hard work and effort goes a long way in further motivating our students.

A lot of planning went into the organization of the event. A few weeks prior, our Ustazahs confirmed the prize winners and proceeded to order the trophies and medals. Prizes also included hampers, and these were put together in the one week leading up to the event. The students’ parents were also officially invited to join us for the ceremony.

On the day of the event, the decor team put together an amazing setup, with a colourful stage as well as balloons and accessories. Food for the day was generously contributed by the parents. Alhamdullilah, we had a scrumptious spread!

We could see the excitement on the students’ faces when they started arriving. This doubled when they went up on stage to receive their trophies, hampers and certificates! The parents were equally excited, and some of them even requested to take photos of their kids with their classmates and all their prizes!

We had quite a huge turnout. Alhamdulillah that the event was a success! Insha Allah, we hope to be able to continue with this yearly tradition and we are thankful for the continued support from our students’ parents and the wider community.

Narrated from ‘Abdullah bin Amr (R.A) that:
The Prophet Muhammed (S.A.W) used to seek refuge (with Allah) from four things:
From knowledge that is of no benefit, from a heart that does not feel humble,
from a supplication that is not heard, and a soul that is never satisfied.
