This Rabiul Awwal, the IMSSA’s Blessings To All team had 3 different exhibitions that were held in the 3 different Madrasah branches:
1) In the footsteps of my Beloved (S.A.W) @ Bishan Branch
2) The vision of Beloved (S.A.W) @ Yishun Branch
3) The journey with my Beloved (S.A.W) @ Eunos Branch
Journey with my Beloved (S.A.W) @ Eunos Branch
This was the very first exhibition prepared by our Ustazas in Masjid Darul Aman for our students. It was indeed a great learning opportunity for the students to learn about our beloved Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) through experiential learning. Ustazas organized a total of 6 stations with various activities to kick-start the first series of Rabiul Awwal exhibition.
Station 1: Welcome to the house of our Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) “Ahlan Wa Sahlan”
A mini set-up of a simple house, mimicking the items mentioned about the Prophet (S.A.W) was put up for display. Students got to taste foods recommended and enjoyed by Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) such as black seeds, cucumber, pomegranate, dates, grapes, water and milk. There was a special honey corner that had honey cornflakes made by the Ustazas, along with fun facts about honey and bees.
Items such as rattan mat, miswak, kohl, comb, nail clipper, men’s robe, perfume and kerosene lamp depicting Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W)’s simple life were also on display for students to visualize.
Station 2: Living the Sunnah Way: It’s easy!
The station highlighted the different Sunnah practices of our Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) that includes toilet etiquettes, eating and drinking etiquettes. In addition, there was a corner partitioned for students to apply henna on their hands.
The students were intrigued to learn about how Prophet Muhammed (S.A.W) carried out his daily activities, and the rationale and benefits of each Sunnah highlighted.
Station 3: Match the Character!
Important characters of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) were also taught to the students through various hadith reported on his characters such forgiveness, kindness, honesty, mercy, generosity, patience, humility, and being fair and just.
Students learnt how Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) was exemplary in these characters. They also received beautifully designed hadith cards as souvenirs at the end of their session at this booth.
Station 4: The life journey of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W)
A summary of the key incidents in Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W)’s life was done up as an interactive timeline for the students to understand Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W)’s life journey. With each important incident in his life, the lessons we ought to learn was also shared with the students.
Station 5: Documentary “The Message” – Invite to Islam, Migration to Medina, Spreading of Islam
Students also get to watch snippets of the documentary ‘The Message’ that featured simulated incidents during Prophet Muhammed (S.A.W)’s era that comprised of invitations to Islam, Hijrath and the spreading of Islam
Station 6: Gifts from our Beloved
Last but not least, students left the exhibition with a variety of gifts reminding them about our Beloved (S.A.W) such as motivational stickers with ayats from the Quran and hadith, miswak sticks, dates, honey sticks and other food items.
Indeed, it was a memorable exhibition for the Ustazas and the students as they learnt via visualizing the life journey of our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W).
