Lailathul Qadr 2023

Alhamdhulillah, this Ramadan, our volunteers, students and their families gathered on the 17th of April 2023 (27th Ramadan 1444H), to commemorate Lailathul Qadr (The Night of Decree) and to pray the Tasbih Nafil Prayers as a Jemaah. The event was set to start at 10.30pm, after the Taraweeh prayers were concluded.

Narrated `Aisha (R.A): Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “Search for the Night of Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan”
(Sahih al-Bukhari 2017)

On this day, our brothers and sisters from all divisions came together to stand in prayer, starting shortly after a quick tea break sponsored by our very own parent volunteers and ustazahs.

Soon after, our Hazrath shared about the significance of Lailathul Qadr and our collective effort in doing good during the month of Ramadan. He proceeded with the Tasbih Nafil Prayer after a quick recap on the prayer steps.

This annual congregation held at Masjid Darul Makmur seeks to remind the community of the importance of Lailathul Qadr and a means to increase awareness of the Tasbih Nafil Prayers. Alhamdhulilllah, it was a great opportunity for our community to gather in remembrance of Allah S.W.T during this blessed month.

لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ  ۙ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ اَلْفِ شَهْرٍؕ
The Night of Glory is better than a thousand months.
(Surah Al-Qadr, Ayat 3)

The event concluded with the distribution of sahar food and drinks to our congregants. Alhamdhulillah, we look forward to more opportunities to gather the community in the remembrance of Allah S.W.T in the upcoming months.
