New Beginnings at Masjid Kassim

Alhamdulillah! We are thankful to be given the opportunity and space at Masjid Kassim to carry on our madrasah curriculum for the East community.

Every Sunday, Masjid Kassim is in full swing. As early as 9am, Asatizahs don their white scarf and burka, and actively undergo their own self-development classes, brushing up on essential Fiqh knowledge and honing their Quranic memorisation. With these classes, Asatizahs are better prepared to guide their students and mould them into excellent future role models.

From 1.30pm onwards, students can be seen slowly strolling in for their exciting classes ahead. These include those as young as kindergarteners and as old as their parents! There is certainly no age limit when it comes to learning about Allah (swt) and Prophet Muhammad (SAW). From 2pm to Asar, students are given time to give their surah memorisations and Quranic recitation. At the same time, they are also given a small break to fuel their energy for the rest of the day. After Asar prayers, students go through various Basic Islamic lessons through hands-on experiences to get key takeaways and practice important values.

By 6.30pm, the students complete their Jema’ath recitations and bid farewell and leave for their homes.

Alhamdulillah! Allah (SWT) works in miraculous ways. May the team remain steadfast in the path of Allah (SWT) and sharing knowledge to all.

Al-Anfal 8:46

‎ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَعَ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ

Indeed, Allah is with the patient.
