وَّذَكِّرْ فَاِنَّ الذِّكْرٰى تَنْفَعُ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ
And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers.
(Surah Adh-Dhariyat, Ayat 55)
“Conquering PSLE” was a biweekly series of motivational sharing sessions, organised by the Upper Primary level of Madrasah As-Soabereen (Yishun) conducted from the 31st of July to the 11th of September 2022.

The purpose of the series was to assist and guide students undertaking their PSLE to develop the right mindset and methods for studying. Students were taught about various topics ranging from Time Management, setting SMART Goals to Revision Techniques and more.

By interacting with individuals who are familiar with the current PSLE climate and expectations, students gained insight on what they should focus on and the expectations from the examiners perspective.
Among our speakers were our older students who have successfully completed national examinations such as the “O” Level and/or “A” Level, currently pursuing various subjects of interest in the Diploma/Degree level to share about their experience with studying and balancing workloads.

Hands-on activities were used to engage learners and teach them how to apply useful techniques to prepare and start revision and maintain it while on their last lap towards PSLE. For instance, in the first session, students were taught on how to set a goal using the SMART acronym. They took turns to write their very own specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and time-bound goals, guided by the guest speaker and their Ustazahs.
