4th September 2016
Following up our successful Quran Competition on 31st February 2016. We,Team IMSSA’s roaring talents-Quran department held our second Quran Competition on 4th September 2016 at Masjid Darul Makmur- Level 3. Our aim was to allow students to gain exposure to Quran Ayats and words from the Quran through various games and activities, and increase their interest in Quran subsequently.
Our aim of organizing this competition was to allow students to gain exposure to Quran Ayats and words from the Quran through various games and activities, and increase their interest in Quran subsequently.
We had four different categories for the different students in our level. Namely:
(1) Tarannum Competition
(2) Fun & Games for Nursery to K2,
(3) Fun & Games for Lower Primary
(4) Fun & Games for Upper Level.
Apart from that, we also had Iqraa’ games like ‘Identify the Quran Ayats’, ‘Match the Yakraab’ and competitions like ‘Tarannum’ and ‘Completing the Surah’.
For the younger ones, we got them to look at the 99 names of Allah, choose a name that they prefer and colour it as they learn of the meaning. For the upper primary students, we got them to complete Quran ayats as they were recited from an ustazah. We also chose top students in Quran Recital to compete against each other for the top 3 reciters’ award. Alhamdulilaah! Students were very involved in the activities lined up for them. They were enthusiastically competing with each other!
Insha Allah, we hope to conduct more of such competitions for students, perhaps of even more creative styles to further excite the students as they engage in meaningful learning and healthy competition. Ameen. May Allah S.W.T bless us all!
