Alhamdulillah, we had our first Rabi’ul Awwal exhibition, ‘Grateful for my Beloved S.A.W.’ at Masjid Assyakirin on 18th October 2023. The theme for this year’s exhibition was to get to know more our Beloved S.A.W. and the booths set up shared insights about the Prophet S.A.W. and his life.

First up, the students learnt about the Prophet S.A.W.’s family tree with fun facts about each special family member. Students learnt their full names and something interesting about each of them.

Following which, they went on to learn more key events that took place in the Prophet S.A.W.’s life at the Prophet’s timeline station.
Next up, students watched short snippets of how Sahabas and the Prophet S.A.W. lived in the desserts of Mecca and Medinah to understand how life was like during the Prophet’s time.

Following which, students visited the Prophet’s house booth and interacted with items that the Prophet S.A.W. used in his daily life – kohl, straw mat and modest household items.

Students then visited the very special place that the Prophet S.A.W. received his first revelation – Hira cave, and got to understand the Prophet’s thirst to know more about The Creator and find out his purpose in life – to become Allah S.W.T.’s messenger.

Students were thrilled to see Prophet S.A.W.’s Camel – Al Qaswah sitting near the Cave of Hira. They learnt about more about the camel and took pictures beside it.

Next up, students enjoyed Prophet S.A.W.’s favourite food and drinks at the next station. Many students also tried certain fruits like figs and olive for the first time.
Finally, the students go to gather in a nice circle with Zam Zam and fruits just like how the Arabs welcomed their guests with great hospitality. The students drank Zam Zam and gave thanks to Allah S.W.T. for the opportunity to know more about His Beloved S.A.W.

To end off our Rabi’ul Awwal Exhibition, the boys level put a special puppet show about the Year of Elephant – the year that the Prophet S.A.W. was born, and how The Almighty Allah S.W.T. saved His house from Abraha.

We are grateful for the opportunity to learn more about Our Beloved S.A.W. and ask Allah S.W.T. to give us many more opportunities to follow our Beloved S.A.W. and be with him in the Hereafter. Ameen!
