Reconnect! @ Madrasah As-Soabereen (Yishun)

As Madrasah As-Soabereen welcomed the month of Dhul Hajj, we opened our doors to the masses of children, adults and parents alike for a day of reconnecting with the masjid. Reconnect! @Madrasah As-Soabereen (Yishun) took place at Masjid Assyafaah on the 3rd of July 2022, Sunday.
Allah (S.W.T) says in Surah Aal-e-Imran, Ayat 104:
وَلْتَكُن مِّنكُمْ أُمَّةٌ يَدْعُونَ إِلَى ٱلْخَيْرِ وَيَأْمُرُونَ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ
Let there be a group among you who call others to goodness, encourage what is good.
After two years of attending classes via Zoom, we organized this event with the objective of reaching out to parents to update them about their children’s learning in madrasah and bringing together families to gather, pray as an assembly and re-establish the feeling of community.
During the event, video collages of initiatives organized by different levels such as holiday classes, Ramadan activities and volunteering projects were also broadcasted to the parents and students. It was a great opportunity to showcase the efforts done by our Ustazahs and communicate with parents our continued gratitude for their support. As the day neared an end, Hazrath addressed the students and parents regarding some madrasah updates and parents’ concerns, with a focus on the necessity of discipline to cultivate a culture of learning in madrasah.
Alhamdulillah, it was a fruitful event as many of us left with the motivation to continue doing good together and frequenting the masjid to stay connected with our community.
