Racial Harmony Day 2022

We are grateful to have collaborated with Marymount IRCC, Masjid An-Nahdhah and Harmony Centre on this year’s Marymount Racial Harmony Day 2022 theme “Our Kampung Spirit” .

This event echoed Inter-Racial and Religious Confidence Circle (IRCC)’s special theme for their 20th anniversary this year:

IRCC20 and Beyond: Strengthening Racial and Religious Harmony in Our Communities

The event hoped to bring people of different races and religions together to inform and share with them the different cultural beliefs and practices that we have in Singapore and how the kampong spirit played a vital role in building this trust and harmony.

Ms Gan Siow Huang, Minister of State, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Manpower and Adviser to Marymount Grassroots Organisations  kindly graced the event as the Guest-of-Honour.

We helped to facilitate various hands-on activities and experiences that reflected the Kampung life for the many participants. Of note, they walked through the Harmony Centre Tour, participated in a Mass Pledge-taking with Interfaith Leaders and played traditional games. Catholic High School Boys further enlivened the atmosphere by their wonderful performances.

Indeed, we are thankful for this blessed experience that gave us the opportunity to mingle with people from different walks of life.
